Factory is a collaborative experimental series of photos which was staged, shot and printed in Blueprint, a small printing factory in Tallaght (A.K.A. “The Fac”). Thanks to Stephen Curtis (A.K.A. “Stevo”) the “Fac” becomes a creative hangout for a group of friends after normal working hours. The series was created using found materials in the factory; a broken drum, cellophane and printing toner through experimental photograph- ic processes.
Carefully and systematically planned, each photo playfully captures the random and
unpredicatable nature of explosions created by the transfer of kinetic energy. This body of work marks the beginning of a new creative collaboration between Conall Heussaff (UCD School of Physics) and James Connolly following Conall’s participation in the Tunnelling Art and Science module (SCI30030) last year.
